Our Work

Sample case study: Growing a food-delivery app with TikTok, Snapchat & YouTube Shorts

Hypothetical example — how we’d drive quality app installs and first orders with vertical video, fast creative testing and app-event tracking.

Hypothetical sample case study. The brand below is fictional. This page shows how Social Options would plan and run a campaign — it does not describe a real client, real spend or real results.

At a glance

  • Brand: Verde Eats (fictional)
  • Sector: Consumer app · Food delivery
  • Platforms: TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube Shorts
  • Goal: Installs that turn into first orders within seven days

The challenge

  • Cheap installs that never place an order.
  • Creative fatigues quickly in a fast-moving category.
  • Measuring app events across platforms consistently.

Our approach

Strategy, step by step

  1. MeasureMobile measurement partner (MMP) setup with in-app events — install, sign-up, first order — shared with each ad platform.
  2. TestTikTok and Snapchat as primary channels, optimizing toward first order rather than install once event volume allows.
  3. ExpandYouTube Shorts with the best-performing vertical concepts, adapted for that audience.
  4. Re-engageRetargeting for installers who haven’t ordered, with a first-order offer where margins allow.
  5. RefreshHigh creative volume: new hooks weekly, built from the winning concepts.

Creative plan

What we’d produce and test

  • Food-first hooks: the dish in the first second.
  • Creator-style “what I ordered” videos and deal-led edits.
  • Snapchat full-screen video with a swipe-up to the app store.

Measurement

How we’d judge success

  • Cost per first order (not just cost per install)
  • Install-to-order rate within seven days
  • Creative hook rate and thumb-stop rate
  • Retention of first-order customers at 30 days

Reporting

What the client would see

A weekly optimization summary and a monthly report covering spend, conversions, cost per result and what we changed — with platform numbers reconciled against GA4 and the client’s own data.

No results are shown because this is a hypothetical example. Real outcomes depend on the product, market, budget and creative.
